Back in April, Tim Leveridge, the son of one of the centre’s trustees, ran the London Marathon to raise funds for various charities including The Exeter Gateway Centre. To show support for his efforts, a large amount of members raised over £250 by undertaking different ‘sporting’ challenges gathering sponsorship from family and friends.
Each member took part in excess of an hour’s activity broken down into 10/15 minute slots, including Wii-Fit, cycling, air-hockey, aer and chair-robics. Everyone enjoyed participating and we discussed the benefits of exercise and keeping healthy and have continued to use the equipment throughout the summer.
